Their ideas, concerns, and opinions guide me as I serve them, Gianforte said.\nPointing to poll results from the statewide town hall, Gianforte said, Nearly 9 in 10 Montanans said they think Congress should focus on other issues rather than impeaching President Trump. They told me they want Congress to secure the border, rein in out-of-control spending, and bring down rising health care costs.\nGianforte's statewide town hall reached nearly 100,000 Montanans. Gianforte took questions from constituents throughout the state, including Absarokee, Alder, Brady, Corvallis, Martinsdale, Peerless, and Troy, as well as several larger towns and cities.\nMany of the questions Montanans posed to Gianforte related to veterans' issues, forest management, agriculture, prescription drug prices, and House Democrats' efforts to impeach President Trump.\nIn addition to last night's town hall, Gianforte has held statewide town halls in January, February, April, and May, as well as town halls for seniors throughout the state in April and July.\nDuring last night's town hall, Gianforte posed five questions to Montanans to gauge their opinions on various topics. The questions and answers follow:\n\n1. What do you believe is the most important issue facing America today?\n38% - Border Security\n19% - Out-of-control spending and debt\n15% - Rising health care costs\n14% - The environment and climate change\n8% - The economy and good-paying jobs\n6% - National security and the military\n\n2. How would you rate the current state of our nation's economy?\n39% - Very good\n32% - Good\n20% - Fair\n6% - Poor\n3% - Very poor\n\n3. Do you believe Congress should be focused on impeaching President Trump or on other issues?\n89% - Focus on other issues\n11% - Focus on impeaching President Trump\n\n4. Who do you think is responsible for our crisis along the southern border?\n26% - Congress\n8% - The executive branch, spanning multiple administrations\n66% - Both\n\n5.
