Many Lisbon and Bowdoin residents rely on the bridge because it serves as the only access road for those living on Burroughs Road.\n\n\u201cThere are more than 50 homes whose only route to the outside world is the failing Burroughs Road bridge in Lisbon,\u201d said Golden. \u201cIt\u2019s imperative that this access remains safe and open, and I\u2019m proud to partner with the Town of Lisbon and deliver the funds needed to fix it.\u201d\n\n\u201cWe warmly welcome the enactment of the earmark funding for the essential repair of the bridge that serves as the sole means of egress for the residents of Lisbon and Bowdoin on West Burrough Road,\u201d said Glenn Michalowski, Town Manager of Lisbon. \u201cThis vital artery, compromised during the storm of May 2nd, 2023, is crucial not only for the daily commute but as a critical pathway for emergency services, fuel deliveries, and school bus routes.
