The Governor\u2019s decision to send a letter to the Secretary of Defense, urging swift action on the Commission\u2019s recommendations, will reinforce the urgency of helping to ensure that no community in Maine or across the nation faces such a devastating tragedy again.\n\n\u201cThe Commission\u2019s report highlights serious shortcomings, particularly in the coordination between military and civilian authorities in managing Reservists\u2019 health.
