Golden passed $1 million in Community Project Funding (CPF) through the House to make much-needed repairs to the 47-year-old facility and is working to get the request signed into law.\n\n\u201cAfter nearly a half century of wear-and-tear from the waters of the Blue Hill Harbor, Blue Hill\u2019s wastewater treatment facility is in need of upgrades and repairs to improve reliability for families and businesses in the area,\u201d said Golden.\u201cI joined local officials at the plant yesterdayto see firsthand. I\u2019m grateful to the community leaders on the Peninsula for their partnership in submitting this request and I\u2019m working to secure the funding needed to help ensure that the communities on the Peninsula have consistent clean water and strong local infrastructure.\u201d\n\nOpen since 1975, Blue Hill\u2019s Wastewater Treatment Facility is showing its age and has been impacted by rising tide levels from the surrounding waters.
