To learn more, click here.\nHouse Oversight Committee Update\nThe United States Forestry Service (FS), which is part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, has recently faced scrutiny following media reports of sexual harassment and gender discrimination. Many women within the FS have described a lack of accountability and a fear of retaliation in their work environment.\nOn Thursday, the House Oversight Committee held a hearing to examine sexual harassment and gender discrimination at the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). As witnesses courageously shared heartbreaking accounts of sexual harassment, hostile work environments and discrimination, it was clear the USDA has not held employees accountable or disciplined perpetrators. No one should ever feel unsafe in his or her work environment, and perpetrators should face consequences.
