Each year, Members of Congress are tasked with selecting qualified students from their respective districts to attend one of America\u2019s prestigious military academies.\n\n\u201cOne of the greatest honors I have as the Congressman for North Missouri is nominating highly qualified students to our nation\u2019s military service academies,\u201d said Rep. Graves, who notified each student by phone of their nomination. \u201cThese young men and women are among the best and brightest. They\u2019ve gone above and beyond in their academics and have already demonstrated outstanding leadership in their school and communities. Various military service academies hold extremely selective admission standards. To help in the nomination process, Rep. Graves created an Academy Nominations Review Board. The board, made up of military service academy graduates, veterans and citizens of the Sixth District, interviewed and reviewed all applicants before making final recommendations to Rep.
