This bill includes the largest pay raise for our troops in eight years \u2013 great news for service members serving at Fort Knox in the Second District. With the threat of terrorism in the Middle East and around the world, is it imperative that we maintain our military\u2019s readiness to keep us safe. To do this, the National Defense Authorization Act increases the end strength levels of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps, and provides for the care of servicemen and women and their families at home and abroad. The bill also makes key investments in the Department of Defense\u2019s ability to confront threats around the world by properly equipping and training our troops.
