It also makes it clear that now is the time to act on changes to help improve and strengthen Social Security long-term.\n\nSocial Security remains a steady source of financial support for seniors and for many, their sole source of income. And we need to keep it that way while acting to strengthen earned benefits, especially for the most vulnerable. My bill, the Social Security Enhancement and Protection Act, would create equitable reforms that would make the program work better for more women, people of color, and low-wealth people. It would also provide a benefit boost after 20 years to ensure that folks do not outlive their savings. Additionally, other changes in my bill would help generate additional funding to help improve the program\u2019s long-term fiscal outlook.\n\nI also strongly support Chairman Larson\u2019s Social Security 2100 Act which makes other changes to both improve earned benefits and help strengthen the programs fiscal outlook.
