Today, Congresswoman Deb Haaland (NM-01) praised the agreement to get clean water to the To'Hajiilee Chapter of the Navajo Nation after the To'Hajiilee Task Force reached a settlement. The community currently haulsin water from Albuquerque for its school and member use.The global pandemic exacerbated the urgency for clean potable water for the chapter's members and those who work for the school, healthcare center, and administrative offices. The water project can now move forward and it is estimated the pipeline will be pumping water to To'Hajiilee the summer of 2021.\nEvery community deserves clean water for drinking, cooking, and to maintain their health, but To'Hajiilee didn't have access to water in their community. Now, the To'Hajiilee Chapter of the Navajo Nation can look forward to clean, potable water.
