The \u201cBerta Caceres Human Rights in Honduras Act\u201d would suspend U.S. funding to the Republic of Honduras for their police and military operations, until the Honduran government\u00a0demonstrates an ability to root out corruption and human rights abuse within its military and civilian security forces, and successfully prosecute and \u00a0those responsible for the killings of Honduran human rights activists.\u00a0\n\u201cI want to see\u00a0The Public Ministry conduct this investigation in a professional manner with the aim of holding accountable those responsible for Berta Caceres\u2019s murder. We cannot stand by and continue to supply security assistance and multilateral loans to the Honduran government if the information in this report is accurate.
