Stone Mountain is among the 42 agencies nationwide receiving a portion of the $15.4 million in award dedicated to advancing community safety through innovative training programs.\n\n\u201cInvesting in de-escalation and crisis response training strengthens the trust between law enforcement and the communities they serve,\u201d said Congressman Johnson. \u201cI am proud to see Stone Mountain secure this funding to promote safer outcomes for both officers and residents during high-stakes situations.\u201d\n\nThe Safer Outcomes program underscores the federal government's commitment to community policing by enhancing collaboration between law enforcement agencies and mental health professionals.
