Andy Harris, M.D. (MD-01) announced the award of a federal grant to the Crisfield Fire Department on the Eastern Shore. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) awarded $200,000 to Crisfield through the Assistance to Firefighters Grant program. The funds will be used to enhance and support operations and safety.\n\nRep. Andy Harris made the following statement:\n\n\"As a member of the Committee on Appropriations, I applaud the award of this grant to the Crisfield Fire Department. These brave men and women provide essential services to our communities and I support efforts to provide our local firefighters with federal funding.
