Brown (MD-04), and Jamie Raskin (MD-08) issued the following statement after the U.S. Department of Transportation\u00a0announced\u00a0a $9 million grant to the Maryland Transportation Administration (MTA) for the installation of Positive Train Control (PTC) technology \u2013 a crash-avoidance rail-safety system that can automatically prevent collisions \u2013 along the MARC Train Penn Line, which connects Baltimore to Washington, D.C.:\n\u201cEvery day, thousands of Marylanders use the MARC trains to commute to work.
