The stories and photos will run through the month of November.\r\n\u201cThrough my efforts to bring the Veterans History Project here to Southwest Washington, I\u2019ve been humbled to hear the first-hand accounts of military combat from the men and women who served in World War II, Vietnam, Korea, Iraq, and on the front lines around the globe.\u00a0 I\u2019m extremely pleased to share a few of the highlights of those stories that are being archived in the Library of Congress to commemorate those individuals for Veterans Day \u2013 and beyond,\u201d said Jaime. \u201cAs this region\u2019s federal representative in Congress, I seek to honor our nation\u2019s heroes by helping veterans get the services they earned through legislation and individual assistance. I think it\u2019s equally important that the rest of us understand the threats they faced, sacrifices they made and challenges they endured to protect our nation \u2013 and this presentation offers a glimpse of those experiences.\u201d\r\nResidents can view the special Veterans\u2019 Day tribute on Jaime\u2019s website at jhb.house.gov throughout the month of November. The veterans featured in this slideshow all participated in the Veterans History Project events Jaime held last month in Clark and Lewis counties.
