Sean Patrick Maloney, prohibiting the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) from proceeding through the process of repealing Net Neutrality rules.\u00a0\n\u201cConsumers not corporations should be in control of individual internet access,\u201d said Congressman Higgins.\u00a0 \u201cFair and equal access to an open internet is a consumer right that deserves protection and one that maintains a level playing field for all, including those accessing the web for business and educational purposes.\u201d\nExisting Net Neutrality rules prohibit internet providers from blocking, prioritizing and charging extra for content or throttling back on the speed at which content is provided.
