As a member of the House Appropriations Committee, I worked to craft and advance 12 conservative, single-subject appropriations bills that cut wasteful spending while delivering on Iowa's priorities. Iowans deserve so much better than the annual shutdown politics and games - a family or a small business would never budget this way, and neither should Congress. A shutdown would only hurt the Iowans we are here to serve and end up costing taxpayers more in the long run. I will continue working to restore regular order to enact conservative spending bills that invest in Iowa while cutting irresponsible spending.\" - Congresswoman Ashley Hinson", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-04-07T21:43:57Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://hinson.house.gov/media/press-releases/hinson-government-spending-process-broken"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.8568931370973587, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
