Some of the most impactful casework outcomes included helping a small business obtain an IRS refund of over $1,000,000, delivering medals to families of veterans, helping veterans schedule appointments with specialists at the VA, and recovering missing Social Security benefits.\n\nHinson continued to deliver on her promise to be transparent, accessible, and responsive to her constituents, embodying the mantra: \"whether we agree or disagree, you will always know where I stand.\"\n\nHinson held 14 in-person town halls and eight virtual town halls to connect with Iowans and answer questions.\n\nHinson held press calls with the Iowa media each week where she discussed legislative initiatives, news of day, and took questions.\n\nHinson and her team responded to over 28,000 constituents who wrote into our office with questions.\n\nHinson has championed Iowans' priorities in Congress this year, working to hold the Biden Administration accountable while finding common ground to deliver for Iowa.\n\nAs a Member of the House Appropriations Committee, Hinson held Biden cabinet secretaries accountable, and crafted legislation that slashes funding for the woke Biden agenda while ensuring Iowa's priorities were funded.\n\nAs a Member of the House Select Committee on Competition with China (SCC), Hinson has been working across the aisle to produce the policy blueprint to compete with China on the global stage.\n\nHinson brought the SCC to Dysart, Iowa for a roundtable with Iowa farmers to discuss strategies to counter China's aggressive intellectual property theft and efforts to undermine Iowa agriculture.\n\nHinson introduced 24 bills and co-sponsored 173 bills, 85 of which are bipartisan.\n\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-04-08T01:14:16Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://hinson.house.gov/media/press-releases/video-release-hinson-recaps-work-iowans-2023"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 4.1959541849792, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
