On Wednesday, the House of Representatives passed the bipartisan Children's Mental Health Care Access Act, legislationintroduced by Congresswoman Kendra Horn (OK-5). The billprovidesmental health support for children through theChild Care and Development Block Grantprogram.A recent study shows thatmore than 16 percentofAmericanchildren experience mental healthchallengeslike depression or anxiety and around halfgowithout treatment.Congresswoman Horn's bill was incorporated in the Child Care Is Essential Act and passed as a component of the bill in a bipartisan vote.\r\nThe pandemic has created an environment ofuncertaintyand stress for families, and children aren't immune to that, said Congresswoman Horn.
