Congressional Foster Youth Shadow Day underscores the importance of listening to and empowering our youth to drive meaningful change.\u201d\n\nThroughout the day, Arria attendeda Financial Services hearing where Congressman Horsford questioned CFPB Director Rohit Chopra regarding their enforcement efforts and work to protect servicemembers, observed a constituent stakeholder meeting with the Nevada Paralyzed Veterans of America, and watched him record a video for the National Hispanic Construction Alliance. Arria also had the chance tointerview Congressman Horsford about foster and child welfare in Nevada, met with his staff, and enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of the Capitol and the House and Senate office buildings.\n\nThe Congressional Foster Youth Shadow Day is sponsored by the National Foster Youth Institute and the bipartisan Congressional Caucus on Foster Youth. This event allows current and former foster youth to share their stories and provide valuable insights into the impact of child welfare policies.
