Hudson. \u201cAs the representative of the largest Army base in the world, I'm proud of everything we have accomplished so far this Congress to strengthen our nation\u2019s defense and military readiness and provide necessary resources for Fort Liberty. I will never stop fighting to make sure our community's veterans, troops, and their families receive the support they deserve.\u201d\n\nThe FY24 NDAA contains Rep. Hudson\u2019s following priorities to benefit active duty military personnel and their families at Fort Liberty, formerly known as Fort Bragg:\n\nAircraft Maintenance Hangar - $61,000,000\n\nChild Development Center - $36,000,000\n\nBarracks - $50,000,000\n\nBarracks (Facility Prototyping) - $85,000,000\n\nAutomated Record Fire Range (ARF+) - $19,500,000\n\nCamp Mackall Microgrid - $10,500,000\n\nProvision to improve Fort Liberty Roadway Infrastructure\n\nThe FY24 NDAA that passed the House contains the following priorities:\n\nSupports a 5.2% increase in servicemember basic pay\u2014the largest pay raise in over 20 years.\n\nProvides a path back to service for the 8,000 servicemembers discharged for declining to take the COVID-19 vaccine, and requires the Secretary of Defense to inform each discharged servicemember of the process they can follow to be reinstated.\n\nProhibits funding for the teaching, training, or promotion of CRT in the military, including at service academies and DoD schools.\n\nBuilds and maintains the overmatch needed to counter CCP aggression by enhancing military readiness.\n\nFreezes the creation of new positions related to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and adds a pay cap for DEI employees.\n\nFully funds deployment of National Guard troops in support of Border Patrol activities at the southwest border.\n\nProvides unprecedented levels of support for the security of Israel.", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-04-08T01:14:16Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://hudson.house.gov/press-releases/hudson-supports-national-defense-bill-secures-millions-in-funding-for-nc-military"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.3325707986950874, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
