Congressman Gregg Harper (R-MS) says this will add another workload to the already heavy plate in front of the Mississippi National Guard.\nThis is something that, you know, we wouldnt even have dreamed about ten years ago. And now the attacks take place everyday, said Harper.\nSenator Roger Wicker (R-MS) says not taking these precautions could lead to widespread and disastrous consequences.\nIt makes perfect sense that this group thats done such a good job and stood in the gap to protect us from military attacks are now being called on to protect us against this more modern type of attack, said Wicker.\nCongressman Hurd says this shows off the versatility of the men and women in the U.S. National Guard.\nThis is one more tool in our tool kit in order to keep us safe from those that want to do us harm, said Hurd.\nThe Army National Guard expects to have 10 cyber units to be activated in 23 states by the end of 2019. They have not yet selected locations for the cyber units in Mississippi or Texas, but Senator Wicker says the announcement of the locations is coming soon.", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://hurd.house.gov/media-center/in-the-news/mississippi-one-three-states-host-cyber-protection-teams"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.302414108067751, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
