These witnesses detailed the surge in drug trafficking, public safety threats, and the strain on local resources caused by the administration's open border policies, which have allowed millions of illegal immigrants to enter the country.

“From day one, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris opened our borders, invited millions of illegal immigrants to walk through them, and ensured they would not have to leave — even if they committed serious crimes. I want to thank the committee for coming to San Diego to witness the severity of this crisis firsthand,” said Rep. Issa.

The hearing also highlighted Issa’s new bill, the Sanctuary City Accountability Act which will hold sanctuary cities accountable for crimes committed by illegal immigrants they harbored and released into communities.

Issa was joined by Rep.
