The resolution specifically reaffirms their vital voice in the most important education, health care and other decisions that impact the lives of their children. Upon introduction, Congressman Issa issued the following statement.\n\n\u201cParents should be empowered to directly communicate with education professionals and other public entities that directly shape and determine their children\u2019s schooling, development, health, and well-being,\u201d said Issa. \u201cParental input at the community level that is presented in a lawful and appropriate manner should always be received and not discouraged.\u201d\n\nCongressman Issa was joined by 22 of his colleagues in introducing this resolution, which specifically outlines the importance of parental influence in and outside of the classroom. And the Biden Administration wants to silence them,\u201d said Issa. \u201cI won\u2019t let that happen. It\u2019s time for the People\u2019s House to stand with America\u2019s parents.\u201d\n\nDarrell Issa is the Representative of California\u2019s 50th Congressional District. The District encompasses the central and northeastern parts of San Diego County and a portion of Riverside County, including the communities of Fallbrook, San Marcos, Valley Center, Ramona, Escondido, Santee, Lakeside, El Cajon, Temecula, and the mountain and desert areas of the San Diego-Imperial County line.
