With lowered individual rates, a doubled standard deduction and doubled child tax credit, individuals and families are seeing more money in their paychecks and increased savings. Small businesses in the Second District are thriving as well in part because of the lowered corporate and small businesses tax rate as well as the incentives to reinvest and expand. And as we've seen, when businesses thrive, their employees thrive. Wages have been increasing for employees across the country, and companies have given bonuses and provided expanded retirement benefits for their hardworking employees.
