Rose. “The last thing a lame-duck Congress should do is pass a $1.7 trillion spending bill two weeks before a new Republican majority is sworn in, especially one that fails to secure our border, fails to defund President Biden’s 87,000 new IRS agents, that fails to hold those in the FBI accountable for colluding with the Biden campaign to suppress free speech, and that drives our national debt even higher. I voted “No” and remain hopeful a Republican-led House of Representatives can begin to rein in the reckless and misguided spending of the Biden Administration and Congressional Democrats over the last two years.”", 1, "2026-03-30T01:40:41Z", "2026-04-08T03:32:05Z
url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at
url
https://johnrose.house.gov/media/press-releases/us-rep-rose-rejects-massive-last-minute-funding-bill
