This funding was made possible by the House's passage of H.R. 5305 \u2013 the Extending Government Funding and Delivering Emergency Assistance Act \u2013 in a 254-175 vote on September 30, 2021. Every Democrat voted in support of the legislation, while 175 Republicans voted against.\n\nThe Ohio Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) \u2013 funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program \u2013 allows individuals, families, and seniors with household incomes at or below 175 percent of the federal poverty line to receive a one-time financial benefit that is applied directly to their utility or bulk fuel bills.\n\n\"As we continue to recover from the pandemic, President Biden and Congressional Democrats are working to protect the most vulnerable in our communities,\" said Rep.
