Russia\u2019s mobilization risks not only the destruction of Ukraine and the killing of tens of thousands of innocents, it increases the likelihood of nuclear escalation. Ukraine\u2019s right to exist as a sovereign nation is without question. The world has a right to be free of the threat of nuclear annihilation. In the face of this truly global crisis, the United States and our allies in NATO and the European Union must be in lockstep \u2013 unwavering in their support for President Zelenskyy and Ukraine. All great nations \u2013 particularly those with nuclear weapons \u2013 must fortify their resolve and work toward peace in Ukraine and on the European continent.
