When the presidents of Harvard, MIT, and UPenn testified before Congress, they should have unequivocally condemned attacks on the Jewish community and affirmed their commitment to fighting hate and protecting the security of all students. They have since apologized and acknowledged the fundamental truth that calling for genocide is dangerous and unacceptable.\n\n\u201cAs private institutions, I believe it is up to the universities\u2019 leadership and community members to determine how to move forward \u2013 not Members of Congress.\n\n\u201cThe House Republican Majority has failed to put forward solutions to combat antisemitism. Instead of advancing funding for the Department of Education\u2019s Office for Civil Rights or the White House\u2019s National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism or calling out white supremacy when their own party promotes it, they are playing political games.
