Critical to this mission is closing the racial wealth gap \u2014 a goal that cannot be achieved without the partnership of Corporate America. We must ensure that the rhetoric used after the murder of George Floyd continues to translate into concrete action. As the CBC has detailed, this means CEOs must honor their commitments to DEI, meaningfully support and invest in employees of color, and collaborate with Congress in our legislative efforts to advance equity.\n\n\u201cAfrican Americans continue to face systemic barriers to economic opportunity \u2014 from a lack of representation in senior executive roles to significantly lower wages compared to white colleagues.
