Kean, Jr.", "K000398", "kean.house.gov", "kean", "https://kean.house.gov/media/press-releases", "scraper", "(August 13, 2026) PHILLIPSBURG, NJ \u2013 This week, Congressman Tom Kean, Jr. (NJ-07) presented $2,400,000 to the Town of Phillipsburg to revitalize the Delaware River Park.\n\n\u201cI am pleased to deliver this federal funding to Phillipsburg,\u201d said Congressman Kean. \u201cResidents should be able to enjoy their local parks, and this $2,400,000 will fund the revitalization of the recreation fields so that families can continue to gather, play, and enjoy safe, well\u2011maintained community spaces for years to come.\u201d\n\n\u201cOpen space is incredibly important to our community, but being an older industrial town also comes with unique challenges,\u201d said Mayor Randy Piazza. \u201cThis $2.4 million investment will help us address those issues at Delaware River Park while creating a better place for our residents to enjoy. We thank Congressman Tom Kean for helping Phillipsburg make that progress.\u201d\n\n\u201cThis $2.4 million in funding is a major investment in the future of Delaware River Park and the Phillipsburg community,\u201d said New Jersey Senator Doug Steinhardt. \u201cThese improvements will help revitalize the park, create a better recreational space for residents, and strengthen an important asset along the Delaware River.
