This legislation's passage will significantly improve our servicemember\u2019s quality of life while continuing to reinforce the superiority of our nation\u2019s military. This bipartisan legislation continues to invest in our nation\u2019s defense industrial base, support our allies and partners abroad, and, most of all, the American warfighter. The legislation contains increases to the basic allowance for housing, a 14.5% pay raise for junior enlisted personnel, improvements to military housing, and support initiatives for military families. For New Jersey, the bill continues to support the critical research and development work at Picatinny Arsenal and aims to better foster workforce development in the defense space.
