Mike Kelly (R-PA) voted in support of H.R. 9770, the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2027, legislation to keep the federal government open through December 4, 2026. The bill passed the U.S. House of Representatives and now heads to the Senate for consideration.\n\n\u201cHouse Republicans took responsible action to keep the government open, protect essential services, and provide certainty for the American people,\u201d Rep. Kelly said. \u201cThis straightforward funding extension prevents a costly government shutdown while allowing Congress to continue its work on full-year appropriations bills. The American people expect Congress to govern responsibly, and this legislation delivers stability without partisan poison pills.\u201d\n\nThe legislation removes the threat of a September 30 funding lapse while preserving the House\u2019s progress toward completing all 12 full-year appropriations bills.
