Rep. Kelly\u2019s statement was subsequently entered into the congressional record; an official copy of the statement is scheduled to be delivered to each school.\nText of Rep. Kelly\u2019s floor statement:\n\u201cMr. Speaker, I rise today in recognition of Greenville Junior-Senior High School in Greenville, Pennsylvania, and Laurel Junior-Senior High School in New Castle, Pennsylvania, which were recently honored by the Department of Education as 2017 National Blue Ribbon Schools.\n\u201cThis award \u2014 given to only 342 schools in America this year \u2014 is based on a school\u2019s overall academic performance as well as its progress in closing achievement gaps among its students.\n\u201cIn her message of congratulations, Secretary DeVos commended the \u2018visionaries, innovators and leaders\u2019 who are \u2018preparing every child for a bright future.\u2019\n\u201cI am proud to join her in congratulating the teachers and administrators of Greenville and Laurel, as well as the families of these students for the love and support they provide. Most of all, I congratulate the students themselves for a job well done. They are truly a credit to Pennsylvania\u2019s Third District, and to our country.
