These new requirements are a part of a larger effort to remove lead from our homes and drinking water, especially benefiting communities in Western New York with elevated lead exposure. Our children\u2019s health should not depend on their zip code.\u201d\n\nThe strengthened requirements from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) are a part of the Federal Action Plan to Reduce Childhood Lead Exposure and Associated Health Impacts.
