The funding, secured as part of December 2022\u2019s government spending package, will go towards expanding the CTE program to include 9th and 10th graders, in addition to adding more resources for 11th and 12th graders, to whom the program is already available.\n\n\u201cCareer and technical education (CTE) programs make all the difference in preparing our students for rewarding, middle-class careers that will help strengthen our entire economy,\u201d said Congressman Krishnamoorthi. \u201cI was proud to secure this funding to expand Jobs for America\u2019s Graduates\u2019 CTE programs in District 214 to include 9th and 10th graders, as well as the juniors and seniors already learning through skills-based education. During their press conference, all stressed the importance of investing in CTE programming and expressed hope that more funding for CTE would be passed by Congress.
