LaHood. \u201cAs we face growing threats from China, Iran, Russia, North Korea, and other bad actors, Congress must invest in our Armed Forces and strengthen our national security. This bill makes certain that our military personnel are prepared with the resources, equipment, and support at home they need. It is a privilege to continue to support our brave men and women protecting and defending freedom and I am proud to support this bill.\u201d\n\nLaHood successfully advocated for the inclusion of an amendment to support Peoria's 182nd Airlift Wing. The 182nd Airlift Wing is set to lose its Tactical Air Control Parties (TACP) - teams tasked with carrying out special operations for the United States Air Force. Although the 182nd Airlift Wing has been promised a new Contingency Response Group (CRG) unit as a replacement, no CRGs have been assigned at this time and future leadership changes could threaten the agreement.
