A purely partisan impeachment, which does not even have the full backing of the Democratic party, and lacks overwhelming support from the American people or Congress sets a terrible path for our future. Nothing presented to Congress so far has been an impeachable offense, even with their star witnesses in committee and that should end the issue. \nI know that there is a population of Americans and our own constituents who don't like President Trump. There were many who disliked President Obama with a similar passion. But, simply disliking a President cannot be the driving force behind impeachment. Today's actions weaken our nation and further divides America. \nCongressman Doug LaMalfa is a lifelong farmer representing California's First Congressional District, including Butte, Glenn, Lassen, Modoc, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Siskiyou and Tehama Counties.\n\n###", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://lamalfa.house.gov/media-center/press-releases/lamalfa-responds-to-partisan-impeachment"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.6953181475400925, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
