Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Jewish State.\u00a0 Our diplomatic efforts and our embassy should be based in the true capital of the State of Israel.\u00a0 The United States is sending a message to the world and to the Jewish people that we stand with our great ally.\n\u201cNow is also the time to affirm our strong support for a two-state solution in the Middle East and I call for peace from both sides.\u00a0 I commend the Trump Administration for renewing the U.S.\u2019s involvement in these talks and I hope a solution can be reached expeditiously.\u00a0 I will work in Congress in support of peace and security.\u201d\nIn January, Lance introduced the Jerusalem Embassy and Recognition Act that would facilitate the relocation of the United States Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.\u00a0 The U.S. House and U.S. Senate have voted on three separate occasions to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0The Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995\n\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0H.
