It\u2019s cruel, wrong, and terrible for our country.\n\nStarting this weekend, Haitian families are being told to report to ICE facilities, and we don\u2019t know what will happen next.\n\nWhat we do know is who these families are. They have dignity. They work really hard. They\u2019ve started businesses, filled manufacturing job shortages, and many of them are home health workers taking care of our families.\n\nThe violence in Haiti has been terrifying for years, and it\u2019s only gotten worse. Sending them back would be inhumane. They\u2019d have a difficult time finding housing, healthcare, jobs. Many will starve. Some may not survive.\n\nThat\u2019s why the House forced a vote and passed an extension of TPS for Haitian families.\n\nThe Senate is still in session for another week and must act before it\u2019s too late.\n\nEveryone deserves to be treated with dignity \u2013 Americans, Haitians, everyone.
