I worked closely with the Obama administration to create strong rules to make the transport of oil by rail safer. Clearly there may be more work to do.\n\n\u201cThank you to the first responders on scene working to assess the situation and to keep communities safe. My staff are gathering more information from the National Transportation Safety Board, the Governor\u2019s office, Whatcom County Emergency Management, BP, and BNSF Railway.
