We have voted to end this illegal war not once, but twice\u2014and we need to enforce the law. My bill will immediately cut off all funding for this costly conflict, and block Donald Trump or any future president from waging war without explicit approval from Congress, as both the Constitution and War Powers Act require.\u201d\n\nAfter nearly five months, President Trump continues to wage an illegal war against Iran, in direct violation of Article I of the United States Constitution, and against the will of the United States Congress\u2014which passed legislation in both chambers of Congress ordering the President to cease hostilities.\n\nLarson\u2019s No Funds for Illegal Wars Act would prohibit the use of any federal funding for military hostilities not explicitly authorized by Congress and in violation of the War Powers Act. Last week, Larson also filed a resolution with Rep. Gregory Meeks (NY-05), compelling the House of Representatives to file a lawsuit against President Donald J.
