The work that started when I first introduced this legislation in the 108th Congress is finally paying off with the tribute that the Caribbean-American community deserves.  \"For two years, this legislation has enjoyed strong bipartisan and bicameral support and this action is the result of a tremendous effort.  I hope that communities across the country will join together in celebrating the invaluable contributions Caribbean-Americans have made to this nation since its inception and to celebrate this nation's great diversity by planning and participating in celebrations of the inaugural national Caribbean-American Heritage Month. ### \n\t\n\t  \n\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\n \n\t    \t  \n\t\t    \n\t\t    \tNext Article", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://lee.house.gov/news/press-releases/barbara-lee-applauds-presidential-action-on-caribbean-american-heritage-month"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 0.9869709610939026, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
