Congresswoman Barbara Lee (D-Oakland) is pleased to announce that the Department of Energy (DOE) is providing $16 million in conditional loan guarantees to the Berkeley-based Nordic Windpower USA.\r\n  \r\nThe funding will help to underwrite the expansion of Nordic Windpower's assembly plant in Pocatello, Idaho and the production of Nordic Windpower's one megawatt wind turbine.\r\n  \r\nI was pleased and excited to learn that Nordic Windpower is receiving funding for the expansion of its assembly plant, Congresswoman Lee said.
