Bill Cavala was a dear friend and a universally respected political strategist who was the mastermind behind hundreds of successful state legislative and several congressional campaigns.\r\n  \r\nBill was known as the Doctor by those close to him because he possessed the unique ability to discuss and explain politics in simple yet reflective terms. Bill used that gift to educate and mentor many who were called into public service.\r\n  \r\nBill will be deeply missed by all. I offer my sincerest condolences to Bill's family and to the many friends and associates whose lives he has touched over the years.\r\n### \n\t\n\t  \n\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\t\n\n \n\t    \t  \n\t\t    \n\t\t    \tNext Article", 1, "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z", "2026-03-30T12:14:52Z"]], "columns": ["url", "title", "date", "year", "month", "party", "chamber", "state", "member_name", "bioguide_id", "domain", "scraper", "source", "date_source", "text", "has_text", "collected_at", "updated_at"], "primary_keys": ["url"], "primary_key_values": ["https://lee.house.gov/news/press-releases/congresswoman-lee-mourns-the-passing-of-bill-cavala"], "units": {}, "query_ms": 1.9985458347946405, "source": "dwillis/congress-press", "source_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press", "license": "MIT", "license_url": "https://github.com/dwillis/congress-press/blob/main/LICENSE"}
