Specifically, H.R. 4618 will give American\u2019s relief from the Affordable Care Act\u2019s restrictions on the use the funds in their Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) to purchase over-the-counter (OTC) medication.  \u201cHealth Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts are the bedrock of consumer choice,\u201d said Congresswoman Lynn Jenkins. \u00a0\u201cThey allow individuals to spend their healthcare dollars towards the specific needs of their families. This legislation would remove Obamacare\u2019s harmful prohibition on the use of HSAs and FSAs for basic, over-the-counter needs of thousands of Kansans.
