What\u2019s clear is there are at least 16 taxpayer-funded offices and commissions related to DEI embedded across D.C.\u2019s government including the Office of Racial Equity, the Commission on Reparations, the Office of LGBTQ Affairs, and the Commission on Health Equity, all written into the D.C. Code and shielded from accountability.\n\nUnder Congress\u2019s constitutional authority to oversee D.C., the No DEI in DC Act will dismantle this bloated bureaucracy, defund its political brainwashing mandates, eliminate racial equity training, and advance President Trump\u2019s mission to Make D.C. Safe Again.\n\n\u201cFor years, the Left have used D.C.\u2019s government as their ideological playground,\u201d said Congresswoman Mace. \u201cD.C. officials are wasting taxpayer dollars to divide Americans by race and gender while their basic services crumble. The No DEI in DC Act ends this scam and puts President Trump\u2019s vision to Make D.C. Safe Again into action.\u201d\n\nKey provisions of the No DEI in DC Act include:\n\nProhibits DEI practices: Eliminates and defunds DEI programs in the D.C. government\n\nEnds forced indoctrination: Eliminates mandatory DEI and racial equity training across all D.C. agencies.\n\nRemoves ideological language from the D.C. Code: Strikes terms like \u201cLGBTQIA+ birthing people\u201d and \u201cjustice-involved youth\u201d from statute.\n\nDismantles the DEI bureaucracy: Abolishes 16 taxpayer-funded offices and commissions, including the Office of Racial Equity, the Commission on Reparations, the Office of LGBTQ Affairs, and the Commission on Health Equity.\n\nPrevents back-door revival: Blocks the re-creation of these offices under new names or disguises.\n\nCreates real enforcement: Authorizes a private right of action against the D.C. government for violations.\n\nThe legislation is part of Rep. Mace\u2019s broader push to end DEI politics and stop taxpayer dollars from funding divisive agendas, including:\n\nRestoring Merit in the Military Act: Ensures all military personnel decisions are based solely on merit, fitness, capability, and performance: not race, ethnicity, or national origin.\n\nRestoring Merit in the Military Service Academies Act: Reforms service academy admissions to prioritize merit and prohibit consideration of race, ethnicity, or other unrelated factors.\n\nNo Indoctrination of Military Kids Act: Requires schools overseen by the Department of War to focus on education, not political agendas, banning Critical Race Theory (CRT) and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) offices, training, and programs at DoW schools.\n\nNDAA Amendment to Defund DEI in the Military: Added to this year\u2019s National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), Rep.
