NPS will restart the program with a few events this year with the goal of having a more regular program next season.\n\n\"Kayaking is one of my favorite activities and I\u2019m excited that, this summer, we can enjoy it right here in our community,\" Malliotakis said. \"It'll be great to get back out on the water with experienced paddlers and beginners to explore nature and enjoy our waterfront.\"\n\n\"Experiencing Staten Island from the water gives you a completely different perspective on where we live,\" said Jennifer Nersesian, Superintendent of Gateway National Recreation Area. \"We are happy to provide this opportunity to the public, and look forward to expanding this type of programming in the future.\"\n\nUpcoming events include:\n\nGreat Kills Paddle: Great Kills Park, Staten Island Bay side parking area at Crooke\u2019s Point.
