Rep. Mann released the following statement after his yes votes on H.R.4821, the Department of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, and H.R. 4364, the Legislative Branch Appropriations Act.\n\n\u201cAs I look at our nation\u2019s budget, I make decisions based on reducing and reprioritizing government spending, securing our southern border, and ending the weaponization of the federal government,\u201d said Rep. Mann. \u201cThese bills would support Congressional oversight investigations and rein in overreaching Environmental Protection Agency regulations like President Biden\u2019s listing of the lesser prairie-chicken as threatened in Kansas. With the passage of these bills, House Republicans have advanced our plan for seven of the twelve appropriation bills for fiscal year 2024. This is a step in the right direction to getting our country back on track.\u201d\n\nRep. Mann voted yes on H.R. 4821, the Department of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, which passed in the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 213-203, and which would:\n\nCut wasteful spending at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency by 39%\n\nProhibit the implementation of President Biden\u2019s 2023 Waters of the U.S. rule\n\nFight the listing of the lesser prairie-chicken on the Endangered Species Act\n\nProhibit EPA from implementing permitting requirements for livestock emissions\n\nRequire the Biden Administration to resume the sale of oil and gas leases\n\nRep. Mann voted yes on H.R. 4364, the Legislative Branch Appropriations Act, which passed in the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 214-197, and which would:\n\nRequire that unspent dollars from Members\u2019 budgets be used for debt and deficit reduction\n\nPrevent the purchasing of telecommunications equipment from the Chinese Communist Party\n\nMaintain funding for the House of Representatives to conduct rigorous oversight of the Executive Branch and to hold the Biden Administration accountable\n\nEnsure that Congress remains open and working for the American people\n\nSupport the continued recruiting, training, and retaining of sworn Capitol Police officers\n\nOn July 27, Rep. Mann voted yes on H.R. 4366, the Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, which passed in the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 219-211.\n\nOn September 28, Rep. Mann voted yes on H.R. 4367, the Homeland Security Appropriations Act, which passed in the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 220-208, H.R. 4365, the Department of Defense Appropriations Act, which passed in the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 218-210, and H.R. 4665, the State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs Appropriations Act, which passed in the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 216-212.\n\nOn September 28, Rep. Mann voted no on H.R. 4368, the Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, which did not pass in the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 191-237. The legislation failed to conduct oversight in nutrition programs, sought to reduce the U.S. Department of Agriculture\u2019s budget by more than 40%, and proposed to dramatically weaken support for land-grant university research.\n\nOn October 26, Rep. Mann voted yes on H.R. 4394, the Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, which passed in the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 210-199.\n\nClick here to view Rep.
