This annual legislation boosts the quality of life for American service members and families, restores the U.S. Department of Defense\u2019s focus to protecting America rather than culture wars, and supports our national security interests. The bill passed in the U.S. House of Representatives by a vote of 281-140. Rep. Mann released the following statement after the vote.\n\n\u201cThe price of freedom is not free, and we should support the brave men and women who put their lives on the line to protect those freedoms,\u201d said. Rep. Mann. \u201cThis NDAA makes much-needed investments to improve the lives of our service members at Fort Riley and around the globe, deploys resources to secure our southern border, deters Communist China, removes inefficiency and far-left policies at the Department of Defense, and equips our military to defend the United States of America.
