Lucy McBath announced Seventh District students who were nominated by her office to attend a United States military service academy. In total, Congresswoman McBath nominated 22 students to the following academies: 7 students received a nomination to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point, 10 students received a nomination to attend the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis, 8 students received a nomination to attend the United States Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, and 5 students received a nomination to attend the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point.\n\n\u201cAs a member of a military family myself, I continue to be impressed by the dedication of our young people to serving our nation and our ideals,\u201d McBath said. \u201c22 young men and women from our community have earned these nominations to service academies, an achievement they and their families should be extremely proud to bear. I wish them luck as they embark on this next step of their academic journey.\u201d\n\nAll students who received a nomination from McBath\u2019s office must now be selected by the service academy for a formal appointment to attend in the fall of 2024.
